congresswoman says she can identify who is "illegal" from their "olive complexion"

Using her keen powers of observation, Kansas Rep. Connie O'Brien knows an "illegal" when she sees one. She knows, just by looking at someone, whether or not the individual is originally from this country. The dead giveaway, according to her: "the olive complexion." I'm totally not kidding: KS GOP Rep. Connie O'Brien Says She Can Tell Who Is 'Illegal' Because They Have 'The Olive Complexion.'

O'Brien revealed her amazing powers of deduction at a recent hearing about in-state tuition being granted to the children of undocumented immigrants. She shared an anecdote about how her son had encountered difficulty getting financial assistance to attend college... and it was all the fault of the girl waiting in line with them at the financial aid office:
REP. O'BRIEN: My son who's a Kansas resident, born here, raised here, didn't qualify for any financial aid. Yet this girl was going to get financial aid. My son was kinda upset about it because he works and pays for his own schooling and his books and everything and he didn't think that was fair. We didn't ask the girl what nationality she was, we didn't think that was proper. But we could tell by looking at her that she was not originally from this country. [...]

REP. GATEWOOD: Can you expand on how you could tell that they were illegal?

REP. O'BRIEN: Well she wasn't black, she wasn't Asian, and she had the olive complexion.
You can listen to audio of her awesomely racist story here. I should mention that the full story is that O'Brien also claimed the girl in question didn't have any acceptable forms of identification. But that doesn't justify O'Brien's idiotic racial profiling. This ignorant woman is an actual elected official?

Um, and based on her own twisted logic, does that mean that Rep. O'Brien has determined, on sight, that an Asian person is "originally from this country"? I mean, she said it indirectly, in her personal process of elimination. Because that's amazing. That's racist! She has since apologized for her remarks.
