ken leung cast in a&e drama pilot big mike

Not too long after hearing that actor Ken Leung will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of The Good Wife, I realized that I had completely overlooked the bigger news that he's joined the cast of the A&E drama pilot Big Mike.

Big Mike stars Greg Grunberg as a plus-sized detective with the San Diego Police Department. Leung will play Bernie Li, the department's doctor. Here's the show's description according to The Futon Critic:
BIG MIKE (A&E) - Ken Leung ("Lost") has joined the cast of the Greg Grunberg-led drama pilot, about "a plus-sized detective in a world where plus-sized is a minus." He'll play Bernie Li, an old-neighborhood friend of Mike O'Bannon (Grunberg) and his partner Armando Romero (yet to be cast) who became the San Diego Police Department's doctor so he could keep a watchful eye on his best friends. Ed Decter and John Strauss are behind the project, which comes from the Sony Pictures Television-based Happy Madison Productions.
I knew it was only a matter of time before Ken Leung got snapped up on a new show, post-Lost. Like I've said before, he's one of my favorite actors, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him in more stuff. Big Mike is currently in development for the 2011-12 season.
