All of these different Asian American "tastemakers" and more are profiled in the second season of East of Main Street, HBO's On Demand documentary mini-series commemorating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, begins next weekend. It's not much, but it does promise something cool. Last year's inaugural edition of East of Main Street was nicely done. A really solid effort that accomplished a lot with fairly limited resources. This year, it looks like they're going for even bigger and better, going coast to coast!
East of Main Street is directed by Jonathan Yi. It will be available from HBO On Demand beginning May 1. Not sure how or if you'll be able to see it if you don't have HBO On Demand, but I'll keep you posted.
