driving school owners busted in cheating scam

Asians behaving badly... driving school cheaters edition! Just heard this ridiculous story out of New York, about the owners of a driving school who are accused of helping students pass exams with an elaborate cheating scheme: Driving School Owners Charged in Test Cheating Scheme.

Pui Kuen Ng and Ying Wai Phillip Ng, who were busted by an uncover agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations unit, and been running a complicated test-taking scam involving miniature hidden cameras, vibrating pager pulses, and a dude in a minivan parked outside:
The Ngs had outfitted the man, who was an undercover agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations unit, with a varsity-style jacket equipped with a small camera hidden in the snap button on the right cuff, according to a criminal complaint filed on Thursday.

Mr. Ng instructed the man to position the sleeve a certain way, so that it could capture an image of each question. The image would then be transmitted to a monitor built into the ceiling of a minivan parked outside, where Mr. Ng would determine the correct answer, then activate a pager that the man had been given.

The code was simple: two vibrating pulses for an "A," four pulses for a "B," and six pulses for a "C."
It's unclear how many people the Ngs helped cheat on their tests, but they claim to have been helping people for ten years, and more than 700 people associated with the school have taken the commercial license test since 2010.

The kicker: Kin Yiu Cheung, the driver responsible for the horrific bush crash that killed four people in Virginia last year, had passed a road test with the school. He now faces manslaughter charges.

The Ngs were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, and face up to twenty years in prison if convicted. More here: NYC driving school owners accused of cheating.
