#NotYourAsianSidekick: The Past, Present, and Future of the Asian American Grassroots

Back in December, the hashtag conversation #NotYourAsianSidekick took over Twitter, showing up in over 95 million feeds in just four days. While it began as a digital exploration of Asian American feminism, #NotYourAsianSidekick has grown to cover issues of race, ethnicity, identity, class, and culture.

To keep the conversation going, 18 Million Rising is hosting a #NotYourAsianSidekick Google Hangout this week with Tanzila Ahmed, Soya Jung, Suey Park, Kristina Wong and Miriam Yeung. It's happening Thursday, January 16 at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET. Here are some more details:
