See Bruce kick ass in this dope Enter the Dragon Remix

My favorite movie asskickings set to a killer beat.

This weekend happens to mark the anniversary of Enter the Dragon, my favorite movie of all time.

Released just weeks after Bruce Lee's untimely death, it was the movie that launched him to global superstardom and immortalized him as an international pop culture icon. On August 29, 1973, Enter the Dragon had its Hollywood premiere at the legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater.

In honor of the movie's anniversary, I thought it was a good excuse to re-share this super-cool Enter The Dragon Remix by Eclectic Method, featuring the iconic score by Lalo Schifrin. It's pretty damn fun:

Enter the White Privilege

By Keith Chow. Cross-posted from The Nerds of Color.

Over the weekend Ain't It Cool News revealed that the internet's favorite hack director Brett Ratner is interested in remaking Enter the Dragon. At a screening of Rush Hour in Los Angeles, Ratner told the audience -- almost in passing -- that he is in the early stages of developing the movie and is looking for a martial artist to star. Now, before you start foaming at the mouth and cursing your keyboard, rest assured that this isn't an official announcement that the movie is happening. For all we know, Ratner is just putting it out there with the hopes that Warner Brothers would give him the opportunity to do it — as blasphemous as it may be.

Of course, the internet is beside itself that a hack like Ratner would dare remake a classic like Enter the Dragon and is appropriately showing its disgust at the idea. Here's the thing that no one's seeming to be complaining about, though. Both of the names for the prospective lead that got tossed around in the original post are white. Buckle up, because some "reverse racism" is about to go down after the jump.

18MMW presents Bruce Lee vs. Jackie Chan

The battle you've been waiting for, but not quite the battle you expected.

Yesssss. Another crazy-ass, silly stop-motion action figure video from 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors: Bruce Lee vs. Jackie Chan -- the epic battle you've been waiting for. But maybe not quite the battle you expected.

This will be particularly amusing to folks who know a little something about the lore behind the making of Enter the Dragon. Sharp-eyed fans know that Chan was one of the stuntmen who got his ass beat by Bruce in the movie. (Watch this first.) 18MMW imagines what that encounter might have been like on set. Check it out:

See Bruce punch, kick and philosophize in this rad video remix.

Thirty-nine years ago today, Enter the Dragon starring Bruce Lee premiered at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It was and is an awesome movie. To commemorate the occasion, I share this rad video tribute by Melodysheep, created from various clips of Bruce punching, kicking and philosophizing.
