20th Annual Asian American Showcase

Presented by FAAIM, April 3-16 at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago



Chicago film fans, it is on. The Asian American Showcase, presented by the Foundation for Asian American Independent Media, celebrates its 20th anniversary as a platform for new work by established and emerging Asian American filmmakers. The festival kick runs April 3-16, and kicks off this Friday with the Opening Night screening of the critically acclaimed thriller Man From Reno at the Gene Siskel Film Center.

Awesome Asian Bad Guys at the Asian American Showcase

Chicago! This is an invitation to be awesome with the Awesome Asian Bad Guys.

National Film Society's action/comedy web series is screening this weekend as part of FAAIM's 19th annual Asian American Showcase. This is your chance to see Patrick Epino and Stephen Dypiangco's affectionate homage to the iconic yet nameless Asian movies villains of yesteryear. It's happening Sunday, April 5 at 5:00pm at the Gene Siskel Film Center. Here are some details about the screening:

19th Annual Asian American Showcase

Chicago film fans, this one's for you. The 19th annual Asian American Showcase, presented by the Foundation for Asian American Independent Media, kicks off this week with a solid slate of films showcasing diverse voices from Asian American independent cinema, April 5-17 at the Gene Siskel Film Center.

The festival features seven great films over the course of two weeks, kicking off this weekend with the Opening Night screening Masahiro Sugano's award-winning feature documentary Cambodian Son.

18th Annual Asian American Showcase, May 17-30



Heads up, Chicago film fans. I'm a little late getting this posted, but I wanted to make sure you knew about the 18th Annual Asian American Showcase, presented by the Foundation for Asian American Independent Media. It's a celebration of Asian American cinema and independent film, boasting an exceptionally strong lineup this year, going on right now through May 30 at the Gene Siskel Film Center.
