Woman arrested in killing of nail salon manager

Ngoc Q. Nguyen was killed after a dispute over an unpaid $35 manicure bill.



After eluding authorities for nearly two weeks, a woman accused of killing a Las Vegas nail salon manager after a dispute over an unpaid manicure bill has been arrested by an FBI task force in Arizona.

21-year-old Krystal Whipple was taken into custody in connection with the death of 51-year-old Ngoc Q. Nguyen. The fatal confrontation happened on December 29 when Whipple got her nails done at Crystal Nails but her credit card was declined for the $35 bill.

Whipple said she would get another form of payment from her car, but instead drove off. Nguyen tried to pursue her on foot, but was dragged by the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital where she died of her injuries.

In Las Vegas, a woman was caught on camera going off on a racist tirade against her Filipino neighbor, calling him an "orange savage" and telling him to "go back to where you came from," among other things.

The altercation was apparently set off by an argument over leaves. Leaves. The unnamed woman can be seen hurling racial slurs at her neighbor, Dexter Manawat, who began filming when she told him to "go back." Clearly, he knew some shit was about to go down, and it did.

"Where did I come from?" Manawat asks.

"From some piece of shit Manila-ass, fucking ghetto living under a tarp piece of shit land," the neighbor replies. She also called him "like orange savages" and an "orange motherfucker" -- whatever the hell that means -- and he's "one fucking generation out of the jungle, like loin cloth wearers."

Asians behaving badly... pet store arson edition! In Las Vegas, a pet store owner who deliberately set fire to her business -- with 27 dogs inside -- to collect insurance money has been sentenced to 5 to 14 years in prison.

Gloria Lee ordered to serve 5 to 14 years in pet shop arson

Gloria Lee and her accomplice Kirk Blls were charged with 27 counts of animal cruelty, along with burglary and arson, for attempting to set fire to the Prince and Princess Pet Boutique last year. The flames were extinguished by the sprinkler system and the 25 puppies and 2 older dogs survived.

Lee apparently planned to frame the fire on her husband and collect a $100,000 insurance claim. However, she neglected to disable the store's video surveillance system.
