20 Weeks: A Romantic Drama About Love, Science and Prenatal Genetic Testing

Leena Pendharkar's film follows a couple faced with some tough decisions after their 20 week scan.



Here's an upcoming indie feature film project that would use your crowdfunding support... 20 Weeks is a romantic drama about love, science and how prenatal and genetic testing impact every day people.

Based on writer/director Leena Pendharkar's own experiences, the film centers on a couple who must decide on how to move forward when their baby is diagnosed with a serious health condition in utero. The cast includes Anna Margaret Hollyman, Amir Arison, Sujata Day and Michelle Krusiec.

20 Weeks is currently raising production funds through Indiegogo. Here's a video with more details:

Ali Wong is pregnant (and funny) as hell in 'Baby Cobra'

New one-hour standup comedy special premieres May 6 on Netflix.



How badass is Ali Wong? The standup comedian, who is on the writing staff of Fresh Off The Boat, has her first one-hour comedy special coming out exclusively on Netflix on May 6. Ali Wong: Baby Cobra was filmed last fall at The Neptune Theater in Seattle... while Ali was seven months pregnant. And looking pretty damn fabulous.

Hey, Seattle! Want to see some awesome comedy? Our friend Ali Wong is a standup comic who has performed on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central and Late Night with Seth Meyers, and is currently on the writing staff of ABC's Fresh Off The Boat. She will be shooting her first one-hour comedy special at The Neptune Theater this Friday, September 25. Also, she's seven months pregnant. It's gonna be good!

Surprise! Runner goes to the hospital for back pain, gives birth to a baby

Whaaaaat. This week in Minnesota, a half-marathon runner in training went to the hospital suffering some terrible back pain. She thought she had ruptured a disc or pulled a muscle. Turned out she was pregnant... and going into labor: Runner's pain is no pulled muscle; it's a baby.

33-year-old Trish Staine apparently had no idea she was pregnant. After a two-hour run on Sunday, she had a sore back that got increasingly worse, and unbearable by the next day. She eventually ended up in the emergency room, where she and her husband were stunned to learn that she was carrying a baby.

And so Staine, a mother of two and stepmother to her husband's three boys, gave birth to baby girl -- 6 pounds, 6 ounces and 18.9 inches long:
