CNBC host Joe Kernen can't resist the dumbass Indian jokes

"Are they good at 7-11?" Is it really that hard not to say the stupidest shit possible?

Come on. Can we please cut it with the stupid 7-11/Indian jokes? Last week on CNBC's Squawk Box, co-host Joe Kernen decided to go there, asking if Indian currency was good at 7-11: CNBC's Kernen Reacts To Indian Central Banking Decision With Racial Stereotypes.

Kernen and co-hosts Becky Quick and Andrew Ross Sorkin were discussing recent changes in the Indian central bank's interest rates and their effect on exchange rates. When the discussion turned to the rupee, the tone of the conversation definitely shifted into oh-those-silly-Indians mode, mostly led by Kernen.

When Quick realized that she still had rupees in her wallet from her last trip to India, Kernen couldn't resist going Full Apu, using a stereotypical Indian accent and asking, "Are they good at 7-11?"

Let's go to the video:

British woman has a migraine, wakes up with Chinese accent

No joke, Sarah Colwill suffers from "Foreign Accent Syndrome."

There's no other way to describe this than just plain weird. A woman from the United Kingdom goes to the hospital with a terrible headache. She comes out speaking with a Chinese accent. Whaaaaaat. According to BBC News: Plymouth woman 'woke up sounding Chinese.'

Three and a half years ago, 38-year-old Sarah Colwill was rushed to the hospital suffering from a severe migraine. When she woke up, she spoke with what can best be described as a "Chinese" accent. Colwill grew up in the English city of Plymouth, and has never been to China. I'm going to assume she hasn't spent a lot of time with Chinese non-native English speakers with a similar accent. But this apparently how she speaks now.

Colwill has been diagnosed with a rare speech impediment called Foreign Accent Syndrome:

Casting Call: Lucy, The Mutant Human/Angel Hybrid Who Speaks with an Asian Accent (but is not Asian)

Uhhh... what the hell? Got this casting call passed along to me for an indie film called It's Gawd!, described as an irreverent comedy about what happens when the almighty gets his own television show.

One of the parts in question is a character called Lucy, "a mutant human/angel hybrid who speaks broken English with a strong Asian accent." But she apparently isn't Asian, so the part is open to actors of all ethnicities... except Asians. Wait, what?

Yeah, I don't get it either. Here's the full breakdown:
