From Vulture: Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari has been accused by a New York–based photographer of sexual misconduct during a date. Speaking anonymously with Babe, the 23-year-old woman claims she met Ansari at an Emmys after-party in L.A. last fall. They exchanged numbers, which led to a date in Manhattan about a week later. The woman said the date began normally, with dinner at an outdoor oyster bar, but when they went to Ansari's apartment afterward, things quickly escalated to a point of discomfort.

"In a second, his hand was on my breast," the woman recounted. "It was 30 minutes of me getting up and moving and him following and sticking his fingers down my throat again. It was really repetitive. It felt like a fucking game... most of my discomfort was expressed in me pulling away and mumbling. I know that my hand stopped moving at some points, I stopped moving my lips and turned cold." When the woman reiterated her reluctance to do anything sexual that evening, Ansari reportedly listened at first, but soon chose to persist anyway...

By now you may have seen the viral meme -- DON'T ROOFIE SOMEONE ON OUR WATCH -- about the trio of friends who thwarted a potential sexual assault when they saw a man attempt to drug his date's drink at a Southern California restaurant last week. The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Michael Hsu. Ugh.

Suspect ID'd in alleged date-drugging attempt detailed in viral meme

Sonia Ulrich, Marla Saltzer and Monica Kenyon were out for happy hour at the Fig restaurant in Santa Monica on Thursday when Kenyon noticed Hsu at another table acting strangely. After his date had excused herself, he appeared to be fumbling with her drink, then dropped something in the glass.

That's when the friends took action. One of them followed the woman into the bathroom to let her know what she and her friends had seen: her friend just tried to roofie her. Meanwhile, one of the other friends alerted the restaurant staff, who called the cops. Later, they found out that the restaurant's security footage had captured the incident and corroborated their suspicions. The would-be date rapist was busted.

Ulrich, Saltzer and Kenyon detailed the incident in a Facebook post that quickly went viral, proclaiming "GUESS WHO STOPPED A RAPE LAST NIGHT?! THESE GALS!"

Holtzclaw was accused of committing sex crimes against thirteen Black women. He was convicted in December on 18 of 36 counts of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, procuring lewd exhibition, indecent exposure, burglary and stalking.

Prosecutors argued that Holtzclaw, who is white and Japanese, specifically used his position and power as a law enforcement officer to target Black women in a low-income neighborhood and intimated them into keeping his crimes a secret. He was convicted of offenses involving eight of the women.

On Thursday, a jury convicted Holtzclaw of 18 of 36 charges of rape and sexual assault. Holtzclaw was accused of assaulting 13 women, all black, between late 2013 and June 18, 2014. But according to legal documents, the sex crimes unit began investigating Holtzclaw well over a month before his final assault.

The timing would mean that Holtzclaw attacked half of the women he has been convicted of assaulting while he was under investigation for sexual assault.

In Arcadia, California, police are searching for a man who attacked two women near area schools, giving them unwanted "bear hugs" from behind and performing several pelvic thrusts before running away.

Over the weekend at UCLA, university police arrested a graduate student for sexual battery in connection with a series of gropings reported on campus last week, as well as other incidents earlier in the year.

A 24-year-old doctoral candidate in chemistry and biochemistry was arrested Saturday after someone in his apartment building recognized him from police photos and tipped off authorities. The student, who is from Qinhuangdao, China, was booked on seven counts of battery and one count of sexual battery.

Last week, the suspect allegedly grabbed three different women's upper thighs as they passed him on or near the UCLA campus. Several of the victims reported having prior incidents with the man in the past several weeks, and one woman reported an issue with him in early March.

28-year-old Kim Nguyen was injured badly in the fall, and filed a lawsuit against the officer, his partner and the Los Angeles Police Department. She had been taken into custody and placed in the back of a patrol car on suspicion of public intoxication. As previously reported, at some point, she was ejected from the car.

In recent sworn testimony, she said that before her fall, an officer climbed into the back seat and sexually assaulted her while the other officer continued driving.

Police were investigating allegations that 25-year-old educational assistant Yee Tak Sharon Kui sexually abused one of her students, described as an autistic high functioning 15-year-old, at the Frost School, a private special education school that serves children with behavioral disabilities, autism and other special needs.

Kui is accused of sending salacious text messages and visiting the boy at his home twice -- on Sunday mornings, while his parents were at church -- to have sex with him.

When his parents and the school caught on, they alerted the authorities, which sent Kui packing. According to police, it looks like she flew out of New York to China.
