Hari Kondabolu teams up with Sikh Captain America

Is New York ready for a Captain America who rocks a turban?

Y'all know I love me some Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Check out this amazing segment where Hari Kondabolu takes to the streets of New York City with Sikh Captain America. Yup, Vishavjit Singh, the Sikh New Yorker who dressed up like Marvel Comics' most patriotic superhero -- plus a blue turban -- for a day.

Are the people ready for a Captain America who rocks a turban? Let's find out:

Why The Jeremy Lin Story will star Philip Seymour Hoffman

Totally Biased's Kevin Kataoka drops some knowledge on Hollywood, Asians, and the lack thereof.

Tom Hardy will star in The Outsider, an "epic story" set in post-World War II Japan about a former American G.I. who becomes part of the yakuza. Yay. Another movie about a white guy's adventures in Asia. (The wrinkle with this one is that it marks the Hollywood English-language debut of prolific Japanese director Takashi Miike.)

What's up with that? Here's Totally Biased writer Kevin Kataoka, talking about Hollywood's popular practice of making movies about Asian subject matter... starring someone who is not Asian. Y'all know what I'm talking about. I've been saying it for years. And Kevin knows what's up too: Asian Evasion.

Hari Kondabolu wants TSA reparations

Brown Man's Payback

The Transportation Security Administration recently unveiled a program allowing air passengers to be pre-screened, avoiding the usual airport security inconveniences -- for a small fee. Okay, great. The TSA is loosening up. But that's not good enough for Totally Biased correspondent Hari Kondabolu. In this edition of The KondaBulletin, Hari outlines what he'd like to see: TSA Reparations

Kristina Wong talks about Asian fetish guys on Totally Biased

And a very special message for Jeremy Lin.

If you missed Kristina Wong's awesome appearance last night on Totally Biased, here you go.

Within the first two minutes of sitting down (after crazy-hugging host W. Kamau Bell), she just throws it out there: "I have nothing against white people... Some of my best friends are white people... but white people say some really stupid shit." On cable television. This woman is amazing. Check it out:

See Kristina Wong tonight on Totally Biased!

W. Kamau Bell welcomes our pal Kristina, tonight on FXX.

Look who's going to be on the TV! If you're like me, and you enjoy the zany, provocative work of writer/cultural commentator/performance artist Kristina Wong, then you must not miss her as a guest tonight on FXX's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Yes, our friend Kristina has made it to the big time of cable television.

First, read this hilarious piece she wrote that went up today. If you're someone who has decried the fact that there is a Black History Month, but no White History Month, then this piece is for you. Kristina hears your pain: 8 Reasons People Of Color MUST Rally For A Long Overdue "White History Month."

Now, set your DVRs or make plans to be in front of the tube at 11:00pm tonight to see our homegirl. If you haven't seen Totally Biased, it's easily one of my favorite shows on TV, regularly offering sharp, funny and much-needed commentary on race and politics for these tumultuous times. Now on five nights a week.

The segment has been taped, and according to her Facebook post, Kristina promises that she "did some shit that might not have been ok with the FCC." Can't wait. For more from Kristina Wong, check out her website.

Hari Kondabolu's KondaBulletin: Spelling Bee Edition

As you know, last week, Arvind Mahankali became the latest in a long line of Indian Americans kids to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. That's six in a row! Which is awesome. But of course, this inspired the haters to respond on Twitter, as usual.

On this week's Totally Biased, comedian/writer Hari Kondabolu shows some love for the spelling bee -- aka "The Indian Super Bowl" -- and had choice some words for Arvind's detractors: Hari Kondabolu's KondaBulletin: Spelling Bee Edition.

Hari Kondabolu's Columbus Day Wish

"Christopher Columbus was a demon."

Apologies. Columbus Day has come and gone, and I didn't have the chance to observe the occasion with this sweet clip from Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Here's our friend comedian/writer Hari Kondabolu dropping some knowledge on why Christopher Columbus is still the bane of Indians everywhere, and why Italians should embrace a new hero:
