kazuo matsui signs with astros

Over the weekend, the Houston Astros finalized a deal with free agent second baseman Kazuo Matsui of Japan, who signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract: Astros officially sign Matsui. Matsui hit .288 with four home runs and 37 RBIs for Colorado in 2007, and played a major role in the Rockies' World Series run last season.
