asian american issues conference at stanford

For those of you in the Bay Area, here's some information on a very cool upcoming conference at Stanford... the Asian American Students' Association and the Stanford Asian American Activism Committee invite you to attend the 12th Annual Asian American Issues Conference, Listen to the Silence 2008 on Saturday, January 26:



The event will feature remarks from keynote speaker Chancee Martorell, Founder and Executive Director of the Thai Community Development Center, and a variety of workshops with panelists like Palo Alto Mayor Yoriko Kushimoto, filmmaker Michael Kang, Sen Yen Ling of the Asian Law Caucus, Robert Uy of API Legal Outreach and many others.

The conference will conclude with a free concert featuring performances from the likes of the Ken Oak Band, Magnetic North, iLL-Literacy, Kiwi, Hi-Lifes and Bento.
