one man's journey

This is a really well-written, powerful essay over at Salon.com by Gary Kamiya, who is hapa, on why he is supporting Barack Obama: Biracial, but not like me. It says he had been leaning towards Obama for a while, but hadn't yet made a final decision until he read the Senator's autobiography. So what made the difference? It was Obama's distinct journey of self-knowledge about his racial identity, and what that means for the future of America. The piece is a pretty good read, so take a look here.
