japanese golf sensation ryo ishikawa makes pga debut

Watch your back, Tiger. The new guy to watch on the pro golf scene is apparently 17-year-old Ryo Ishikawa of Japan: Japanese teen causing quite a sensation. The teenager made his PGA Tour debut yesterday at the Riviera Country Club in the Northern Trust Open: Nerves get the better of Ishikawa on PGA Tour debut.

In 2007, at age 15, Ishikawa became the youngest winner ever of a men's regular tournament on the Japan Golf Tour by winning the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup. I guess he's here now to conquer America, already garnering comparisons to Tiger Woods and of course, fellow teen Michelle Wie: Wie's a cautionary tale for Japanese teen Ishikawa.
