call for remembrances: ronald takaki and him mark lai

With the passing of two great scholars, Him Mark Lai and Ronald Takaki, all those whose lives they touched are in mourning.

Takaki, who developed the first ethnic studies PhD program in the country at the University of California at Berkeley, and Lai, whose writings created the foundations for the first Chinese American history course at San Francisco State College, influenced generations of eager minds.
