the men of white on rice: hiroshi watanabe

The indie comedy White on Rice is coming to a theater near you, starting September 11 in Los Angeles and Orange County. To celebrate, we'll be profiling the movie's cast, who answered a couple of questions. Meet Hiroshi Watanabe, who plays Jimmy.

Describe your character in White on Rice.
I play Hajime. But he likes to called Jimmy. He is a looser. But he has a good heart. He recently got divorced, so he moved to America and lives with his sister's family. He has to share a bunk bed with his nephew Bob, and he always has problems with his brother-in-law Tak.

What's your favorite behind-the-scenes moment?
When I went to eat lunch and dinner with other cast members, I really enjoyed talking with them. And it made me feel relaxed.

What was your last Halloween costume?
I haven't wore any costume in Halloween yet. I came to U.S. when I grew up. I am a little shy to wear the costume. In Japan, we don't have Halloween.

What makes you laugh
When I watch comedy movies, makes me laugh.

What makes me angry?
I try not to be angry. I do tai-chi and Chi exercise to make my life better.
