in theaters: my name is khan

Forget Brad and Angelina. The world's biggest movie star is arguably Shah Rukh Khan -- known as the "king of Bollywood" to his fans. He stars in My Name is Khan, which opens in select U.S. theaters today.

It's about a Muslim immigrant with Asperger's Syndrome who falls in love with a Hindu woman, when the events of 9/11 tear their family apart. To win her back, he embarks on a touching and inspiring journey across America.

Ironically, you might recall that Khan himself -- again, we're talking about the biggest movie star in the world -- was detained and questioned by TSA at Newark Airport (where everything good happens!) last year when his name apparently came up on a security alert list. He claims he was racially profiled.

I don't know much about Shah Rukh Khan's films, but judging from the trailer, this looks really dramatic. According to the credits, Barack Obama (or someone resembling him) even makes an appearance. For more information about the movie, go to the official website here.
