body of phuong le identified

Authorities have confirmed that the woman's body found in rural Napa County last week is that of Phuong Le, who has been missing since last month: Body found in Napa County identified as missing Suisun City woman.

Fingerprints were used to confirm her identification. The coroner's office hasn't commented on the preliminary cause of death or when Le died, but Fairfield police have classified the death as a homicide:
Interim Police Chief Larry Todd said the cause of death has "potential value" in the investigation into Le's death.

No suspects have been identified, Moody said. Asked if Le had been targeted, he said, "I wish I had an answer.

"Anything is possible," Moody replied when asked whether a stranger could have been the killer. "We have not ruled out anything."

Moody added, "I wouldn't classify it as well on our way to an arrest. I will say we have information that we are moving forward on."
Le was last seen on April 25, five days before her 25th birthday, at a Barnes and Noble bookstore. Her car was found in the parking lot. Her body was found by a woman walking her dog Friday morning, about 40 feet off Highway 121. More here: Suisun City woman who disappeared was slain.

I can't imagine what her family must be going through: Le Family Coming To Grips With Difficult News. A public memorial service will be held next week, followed by a funeral the next day: Phuong Le's family set memorial, funeral plans for next week.
