If you're in San Francisco, and would like to learn a little something about something, here's an interesting event happening this week...

Bonnie Tsui, journalist and author of American Chinatown: A People's History of Five Neighborhoods, will present a slideshow about the process of writing her book. It's happening this Thursday, June 17 at the San Francisco Public Library. Here are some details:
American Chinatown: Transformations of an Ethnic
Community

Date: Thursday, June 17, 2010

Time: 6 - 8 p.m.

Place:
San Francisco Public Library, Main Branch
100 Larkin Street
Latino/Hispanic Community Meeting Room
San Francisco, CA 94102

Bonnie Tsui, journalist and author of American Chinatown: A
People's History of Five Neighborhoods, will be presenting a slide show
about the process of writing American Chinatown and the travel magazine
and newspaper experiences leading up to the book.
A book signing and sale will accompany the event. Sounds like a really nerdy evening -- and I absolutely mean that in the best way possible.
