storycorps: a mom's tough standards, imported from vietnam

Wow. Just got a little choked up listening to this latest edition of StoryCorps on NPR, which records, shares and preserves the stories of regular folks around the country: A Mom's Tough Standards, Imported From Vietnam.

In this interview, Theresa Nguyen talks to her daughter, Stephanie, about balancing their Vietnamese heritage with raising a family in the United States. I'm betting there are plenty of you out there who can relate.

You can read the article, but you really have to listen to the story to get the full effect. Listen to it on the StoryCorps website here. (Thanks, YuhWen.)
