gwendoline yeo's laughing with my mouth wide open

If you're in Los Angeles, I'm passing along word about actress/musician Gwendoline Yeo's new one-woman play Laughing With My Mouth Wide Open, "a sharply observed and riotously funny celebration of her cultural journey from Singapore to America." It's playing at the El Centro Theatre in Hollywood, November 20 - December 19. Here are some more details:

Gwendoline Yeo's
Laughing with My Mouth Wide Open

starring
Gwendoline Yeo
also featuring Dennis Delsing

directed by
Mark St. Amant

produced by
Gaalan Michaelson
(The Black Dahlia Theatre)

A sharply observed and riotously funny celebration of Yeo's cultural journey
from Singapore to America, and from family identity to self-identity and womanhood, accented by her performance on the Chinese long zither ("gu-zheng").

November 20 - December 19

El Centro Theatre
804 Santa N. El Centro Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038
(2 blocks north of Melrose, between Vine and Gower)
To be honest, these one-person stage shows are usually not my thing (and there seems to be a lot of them featuring Asian American actors lately), but I figure there are theatre-goers who might be interested in this.
