call for applications: leap's 2011 leadership in action summer internship

Hey, college students! Have you heard about LEAP's paid summer internship?

Leadership Education for Asian Pacific (LEAP) presents the 2011 Leadership in Action Summer Internship Program, an eight-week paid summer internship program designed to develop emerging young leaders by providing college students with practical leadership skills and the opportunity to work hands-on with the API community in Southern California. Here's the deal:

BRIDGING self and community

Now entering its 14th year, the LEAP Leadership In Action Summer Internship Program provides a unique experience of personal leadership development with hands-on training and placement within the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Nonprofit Sector.

For 8 weeks:
- Participants are assigned to an approved nonprofit organization
- Receive training centered on Asian and Pacific Islander leadership
- Collaborate on a community group impact project
- Network with like-minded individuals committed to the greater API community

Interns will receive a $2000 stipend for completing the 8 week summer internship.
The 2011 program will be held in Los Angeles from June 20 - August 12. The application process for interns is now open! So get your butt in gear and submit your application by Friday, March 11.
