The Asian American Writers' Workshop, a nonprofit literary arts organization dedicated to supporting Asian American writers, literature and community, is currently hiring for two part-time positions, Program Director and Development Associate. Part-Time Program Director

The Asian American Writers' Workshop, the preeminent literary arts nonprofit dedicated to excellent literature of Asian American descent, is looking to hire a part-time Program Director. This position is ideal for a highly ambitious, organized individual who would like to build curatorial experience in a collegial, socially progressive arts center.

The Workshop is looking for an organized, logistical person who’s looking to make their mark. The Program Director is responsible for: (1) programming (i.e., curating high-quality literary events centered around Asian American literature); and (2) marketing and public relations. The person best suited for this position will be an energetic, detail-oriented problem-solver who can process things quickly, solve crises, and make sure that things get done. In addition to the curatorial role, much of the Program Director job will consist of helping to build the Workshop’s volunteer capacity, improve our administrative ability, and help maintain the routine operations of the organizations. The Program Director will also need to help build programs that can generate income and spend occasional nights and weekends staffing and hosting events.

Part-Time Development Associate

The Asian American Writers'’ Workshop, the preeminent literary arts nonprofit dedicated to excellent literature of Asian American descent, is looking for an organized, logistical person who’s looking to make their mark. Much of the Development Associate's job will consist of developing new earned income initiatives and contribution tracking systems with the Executive Director. The ideal applicant is an entrepreneurial self-starter capable of creating and implementing plans in an unstructured environment. This position is ideal for a highly ambitious, organized individual who would like to build development experience in a collegial, socially progressive arts center.
