Caught a quick glimpse of Daniel Dae Kim in the new trailer for Arena, a sci-fi action gladiator movie where men are forced to "fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses." Sounds sort of like a cross between The Running Man, Gamer and Death Race, with Samuel L. Jackson thrown in for good measure. Take a look:
We first heard about this movie when Daniel was cast over a year ago, back when it had an even worse title, Deathgames. DDK plays one of the imprisoned combatants, an artist who also happens to be a master of kendo. This is just a wild guess, but I have a feeling he doesn't make it out of there alive.
Okay, so it doesn't look very good. But who am I kidding? I'll totally watch this. I'm a sucker for these kinds of movies.
