Just passing along word that the indie romantic comedy Surrogate Valentine, directed by Dave Boyle and starring musician/actor Goh Nakamura, is now available nationwide on cable Video On Demand. If you missed it on the festival circuit, you can now catch it from the comfort of your couch. Here's an excerpt from the press release with more info:

Musician/actor Goh Nakamura was also awarded the Special Jury Prize for his leading performance at the 2011 Dallas International Film Festival. By popular demand, SURROGATE VALENTINE went on to play at major festivals across the country such as Seattle, Cleveland, San Diego, Brooklyn's BAMCinemaFest, and many more.

It's true, I have a bunch of friends involved with this film, but I'm also just a fan of its sweet, underdog road trip story and Goh's understated performance. For more information about the movie, go to the Surrogate Valentine website here.
