student filmmaker wins national competition for short documentary: the constitution and the camps



This is really cool. Matthew Shimura, a student filmmaker from Honolulu, recently won the grand prize in C-SPAN's 2012 StudentCam competition for his short documentary, The Constitution and the Camps: StudentCam 2012 Grand Prize: The Constitution and the Camps - Due Process and the Japanese-American Internment.

StudentCam is an annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. This year, students were asked to create a short video on a topic related to the competition theme, "The Constitution and You."
