angry reader of the week: tasi alabastro

Once again, it's time to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Tasi Alabastro.

Who are you?
I am an Earthling. But considering the success of NASA's rover, Curiosity, I might be turning in my Earth Citizenship in the near future...

What are you?
Imagination User! I'm an actor and filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is interested in helping in arts and education. I'm also co-founder of a media production company, Square Marden.

Where are you?
I'm deep in Silicon Valley, entrenched between Technology and the Arts.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised on the very last place to reach the New Years: Pago Pago, American Samoa. Where is American Samoa? It's smack dab in the middle of the South Pacific, just slightly below the equator. I'd like to attribute my coconut husky hair to the copious time spent running in the rain, star-gazing, and general island mischief.

What do you do?
Most days I like to people watch and make pretend, preferably on stage and film -but I'll settle for a park bench. (Pigeons are surprisingly great audience members) When I'm not doing that, I'm working as the Outreach assistant at the San Jose Repertory Theatre. Also, I write about my career and life experiences on kreenpananas.wordpress.com. And I've been known to enjoy long walks on the beach. As long there's a BBQ at the end of that walk.

What are you all about?
I care about the way people engage their passions or their search for it (if they haven't quite found it yet). The profound sense of joy in helping connect someone to what makes them smile -that, I'm immediately turned on by those connections. At the root of it is positivity. And understanding that you'll need to grasp the negatives and re-channel it to something that can help make a change in oneself therein, making a difference in the community.

What makes you angry?
People who are inconsiderate. People who are inconsiderate make me angry. Not so much Hulk angry, more like, Al Pachino-in-Michael-Mann's-Heat kind of angry. The newest one on my list are bicyclists who don't use the bike lane. Grr!
