For folks in the Bay Area, passing along word about this bone marrow drive happening this weekend on behalf of Jeremy Kong, a two-year-old Chinese American kid who is suffering from a rare form of acute myeloid leukemia and is need of a bone marrow transplant. Are you the match?

Jeremy's loved ones and supporters are throwing a party and bone marrow drive this weekend. It's happening Saturday, September 29 at Shine in San Francisco. Here are some more details about the event:

FREE ALL NIGHT! (Optional $5 donation for medical expenses.)

Registration booths will be present from 10 - 1am for those interested in getting swabbed.

MYTH: Donating is painful and involves a long recovery.

FACT: The donation process pretty much is pain-free, especially since they do general anesthesia on the donor.People who've done it say it feels like a sore muscle at the site for a few days, like they worked out too hard.
