Visual Communications, the nation's premier Asian Pacific media arts center, is looking for qualified undergraduate students to fill full-time internship positions this summer (June 10 - August 16) in the following categories:

EXHIBITIONS PROGRAM ASSOCIATE: The Exhibitions Program Associate will primarily focus on the final wrap up of the 2013 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, including research, cataloging and review of digital media, social networking, and web interfacing. The Associate will organize materials from our festival submission site, Withoutabox.com and work on the transitioning of our site from the 2013 to the 2014 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. The Exhibitions Program Associate will lead a media project conducted by all summer interns for Youth Inspired, a short video profiling Asian American leaders in the community and entertainment industry under 30 years of age. This position reports to the Executive Director.

ARCHIVES ASSOCIATE: The Archives Associate will work closely with the Archivist and other team members in preparing the archives' holdings for increased accessibility and discoverability. The intern's duties may include, but are not limited to, inventorying and processing collections, preparing materials for access; protecting the original materials; cataloging and describing materials; digitizing moving images and photographs; creating and disseminating outreach materials through social media; working on grant proposals; and participating in a media project conducted by all summer interns for Youth Inspired. This position reports to the Archivist.
