Got this casting call sent my way for a potential reality television show that's looking for "multi-generational, affluent, Asian American families."
I don't know much more beyond that -- heck, maybe they're trying to make the reality TV version of Crazy Rich Asians -- but it's being produced by High Noon Entertainment, which has had shows the Travel Channel, AMC, TLC, Discovery Channel and the like, so it's legit. Infer what you will.
Here's some more information on what they're looking for:
HIGH NOON ENTERTAINMENT CASTING NOTICEWanna be on a reality show? Maybe your family fits the bill. Like I said, I don't know what this is or if it's going to be any good (honestly, I wish people would stop trying to force this "old world" versus "new world" dynamic on Asian American family narratives), but you never know. Send an email to Kelly at at email@example.com. Apply at your own risk!
