Fund This: Post-production for Twinsters

A documentary about twins, separated at birth, reconnected through social media

If you're like me, you were fascinated to learn about the story of Korean American adoptee Samantha Futerman, a working Hollywood actress, who heard from a stranger across the internet and discovered she had a long lost twin sister: Anaïs, a French fashion design student living in London. Whaaaaat.

Here's Anaïs' first Facebook message to Samantha. Imagine this showing up in your inbox:

This was a story that needed to told and shared with the world. So they launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund Twinsters, a documentary following Sam and Anaïs' life-changing journey as they re-connected, communicated and ultimately met each other for the first time (again), families -- and film crew -- in tow.

Amazing. And yo, they are adorable.

It looks like Samantha and Anaïs had an epic reunion, and the cameras were rolling. Now comes the task of putting it all together. So they've launched another Kickstarter campaign to cover the cost of post-production. Funds will go towards hiring an editor, assistant editor, colorist, composer, graphic designer, sound designer, publicist, film festival fees and legal fees -- all important elements in getting the film finished.

And I want to see this film finished! The goal is to raise $80,000 by February 18. For further information about the project, and to make a pledge (previous backers who donate the same amount or more will get bumped to the next reward level), go to the Twinsters Kickstarter.
