Police suspect 'foul play' in flower vendor's disappearance

31-year-old Moua Vang was last seen Tuesday afternoon selling flowers at the Lakewood Farmer's Market. Her family last heard from her at about 4:30pm, and police found her abandoned van in the area a few hours later.

The van's doors were left open and her belongings, including her keys and cell phone, were still inside the vehicle. Police say it looks like something might have gone wrong suddenly, perhaps as Vang was packing up her flower stand. She may have been abducted.

Moua Vang's van and flower stand were found abandoned Tuesday night.

Lakewood police say Moua Vang, who was selling flowers at the market, was last heard from by her family at 4:30 p.m.

Her van was found at 8:24 p.m. near the market. Police say the doors were wide open and the van was in disarray. The keys to the van were inside along with Vang’s cell phone.

Vang is a regular vendor at the market, which is located on the west side of Lakewood City Hall. Her flower stand was in the process of being taken down and was abandoned. Police say it appears she was interrupted by something.

Moua Vang is Asian, stands at 5-foot-1 and weights 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who visited the market Tuesday and noticed anything suspicious, or anyone who has seen Vang or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at (253) 830-5000.
