Angry Reader of the Week: Forrest Wheeler

"I think I am everywhere but never in my comfort zone."

Why, hello there! People of the internet, it's time to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Forrest Wheeler.

Who are you?

Hi, I am Forrest Wheeler (ιŸ‹ζ™Ίζž—) and I play the role of Emery on ABC's hit TV comedy series Fresh Off The Boat. I love my role a lot as I easily relate to my character. Sometimes, I feel like the scripts are written exactly how I act in my personal life -- funny, athletic, easy going, a little casual, and I try to be a good student.

What are you?

I am an eleven-year-old boy who loves everything about life. I love martial arts and all kinds of sports, particularly tennis. One fun fact about me is that I am ambidextrous and I play tennis with a two-handled tennis racket. My newest passion is film-making, photography and script-writing. Fresh Off The Boat definitely got me inspired!

Where are you?

I think I am everywhere but never in my comfort zone. I always like to try new things and take up new adventures. I will go anywhere there is adventure.

Where are you from?

I am a California baby, I was born in Santa Monica, but I think of myself as a global citizen! My mom and dad both traveled the world before I was born and have told me lots of stories about their experiences living in different places, living among different cultures, and tasting different foods. I have traveled around the U.S. a little and really enjoyed it. But, my dream is to travel around the World. I want to explore and learn and experience.

What do you do?

I do a lot of different things: I am an actor who likes to joke and make people laugh; a student who wants to learn more about the world and our environment and how we can live within our means; a tennis player and a martial artist, and a loving son and friend who brings laughter to those around me.

What are you all about?

Right now? I am all about waiting anxiously to watch this Tuesday's (February 23) all new episode of Fresh Off The Boat. The episode is titled "Michael Chang Fever." I got to play my favorite sport, tennis, while filming this episode, and most amazingly of all, was able to meet the tennis legend Billie Jean King. She is super sweet and absolutely inspiring. She even took some time to watch me play tennis and gave me invaluable tips on how to enhance my tennis skills. I hope to meet her again and learn more about her story and the legacy she has created.

What makes you angry?

I get extremely angry when I learn that my friends, or anyone for that matter, are being bullied. I think this behavior is totally unacceptable and just can't fathom or tolerate it. My advice to stop bullying is to IGNORE THE BULLIES. The more attention we give them, the more people they will bully. Also, for kids to include parents in the conversation if they are bullied; they will know how to help.
