First look at Randall Park in Ant-Man and the Wasp

'Fresh Off The Boat' star plays Agent Jimmy Woo in the superhero sequel.

Here you go, fellow fanboys. The internet has given us our first behind-the-scenes look at Randall Park as Jimmy Woo in this summer's forthcoming Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The photo, posted to Reddit over the weekend, shows Park alongside star Paul Rudd, who plays Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man. At first glance, it looks a little like Paul Rudd just woke up and wandered on to the set of Fresh Off The Boat. You can kind of imagine Jessica, Eddie, Emery, Evan and Grandma just out of the frame.

While the massive Marvel crossover Avengers: Infinity War starred an epic horde of heroes, Ant-Man was one of the major characters who was noticeably absent from the proceedings. It was explained that Lang was under house arrest following the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Some fans are speculating that Jimmy Woo might be the agent in charge of keeping track of Scott Lang. While it was announced last year that Park had joined the cast of the Ant-Man sequel, it's still unclear if Jimmy Woo is an agent of SHIELD, the FBI or some other organization.

Is it too much to ask for a cool shot of Jimmy Woo in action, gun drawn?

First introduced in 1956 in Yellow Claw #1, the character has had various affiliations over the years. In the most recent Ultimate Marvel storyline, Jimmy Woo is a SHIELD agent working alongside Sharon Carter. He's actually considered one of the few "positive" Asian American characters to emerge from the Silver Age.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
