bay area: inspire 07 and mr. hyphen 07

Bay Area folks... couple of things for you to do this weekend. Tomorrow night, APA Five is throwing launch event/fundraiser for their upcoming leadership conference INSPIRE 07. The conference is a three-day event bringing together Asian Pacific American professionals and leaders for the largest interdisciplinary network in the country, happening August 31 to September 3 (Labor Day weekend) in San Francisco. Details are still coming together, but looks like it's shaping up to be a pretty awesome conference. On Saturday, an evening of community and competition, where one man will stand before all and be crowned with the coveted title of Mr. Hyphen '07. Recognize. Saturday, June 9th at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. They've gathered the best and brightest from the Asian American community to compete in a pagaent of talent, fashion, eloquence and general awesomeness, with the winner taking home a prize donation to his respective nonprofit organiztion.
