Jefferson Parrish Sheriff Harry Lee, the "Chinese Cowboy" whose controversial policies made him one of Louisiana's best known politicians, died yesterday of leukemia. He was 75: Colorful Louisiana sheriff Harry Lee dies at 75. Born to Chinese immigrants in 1932, Lee had been sheriff of the New Orleans suburb since 1980 and was running for re-election this month.
