Bay Area! You want some music? Mark you calendars. The Asian American Musicians Showcase is a music series produced by Monkey King Records to promote awareness of local Asian American musicians from a variety of genres, influences and styles. The upcoming showcase, AAMS#12, celebrates Asian American women musicians, and will feature Lumaya, Julie Chow, Val Mih and Golda Supernova. I'm not familiar with any of these musicians, but I'm always open to discovering new music. It's all going down on Friday, March 7 at Retox Lounge in San Francisco.
