This is kind of cool... this Saturday, AMC will be airing a special network premiere Clint Eastwood's award-winning World War II epic Letters from Iwo Jima. The premiere event will feature the film with no commercial interruptions, in its original presentation in Japanese with English subtitles. (Frankly, I think it would be really really wrong to dub this movie.) The movie is a thoughtful portrait of the Japanese forces who held the island of Iwo Jima for 36 days during World War II.
