19-year-old elected to city council

In Placentia, Calfornia, it looks like 19-year-old Jeremy Yamaguchi, who ran for city council, will become one of the youngest elected officials in the history of Orange County: 19-year-old wins City Council seat. Election returns showed that showed Yamaguchi was the top vote getter with 7,673.

Yamaguchi, the son of a Placentia police officer, is a political science major at Cal State Fullerton. Now, he'll be part-time student and part-time politician. But don't be fooled by his age —the kid might be young, but he's highly qualified. And it looks like he's got a bright future ahead of him.
