maya lin's "wave field"

The New York Times has a really interesting article on the work and career of artist/architect Maya Lin, who is best known for designing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which catapulted her to stardom and notoriety in 1981: Once Inspired by a War, Now by the Land.

Her latest work, "Wave Field," an 11-acre installation at Storm King Art Center, opens to the public next spring. Be sure to watch the video piece at the side to get the full visual view of the "Wave Field" project. I like the part where she shows art made out of her garbage.
