comerford will stay on as white house head chef

With Barack Obama taking office next week, it's certainly a season of transition and historic change in Washington... but one position in the White House will remain the same: executive chef.

Still the only woman to hold the top title in the presidential kitchen, Cristeta "Cris" Comerford, has been asked by the Obamas to stay on as White House executive chef: Obamas to keep seasoned White House chef.

Hopefully, the new president will exercise a little more tact than George W. Bush when meeting with officials from the Philippines, than being compelled to bring up his "Philippine-American" chef.
