According to this article in Variety, business owners in Los Angeles' Koreatown is looking to lure the film industry into the neighborhood: Koreatown looks to lure lensing. The city's Community Redevelopment Agency recently sponsored a tour for 40 location managers, in order to promote Koreatown as a film-friendly locale.

It's not just barbecue restaurants and soju joints. The area is home to both Old and New World settings that can easily double for foreign or various Stateside settings. It's a blend of upscale malls and condos and traditional restaurants juxtaposed with modern clubs, bars and karaoke lounges. Who knows, you might just be seeing more of K-Town on the big screen very soon.
