daniel dae kim starring in the king and I this month

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim is currently in London to the play the King of Siam in the latest revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical The King and I. We heard about this when it was announced late last year, and I guess Daniel is going through with it, unafraid to sing in front of Albert Hall's capacity audience of 3,000: Lost's Daniel Dae Kim to appear in The King and I.

If you're not familiar with the show, it's based on the true story of Anna Leonowens, who became school teacher to the children of King Mongkut of Siam in the early 1860s. The musical was a huge hit on Broadway, spawning numerous revivals and a popular 1956 film.

The new production will run twenty performances, June 12-28 at Royal Albert Hall. If you happen to be in London this month, check it out, and learn more about the show here. And don't worry -- Daniel is set to be back on Lost for the final season. Shooting resumes in Hawaii in August.
