jacl's national youth conference, june 26-28

Heads up, young people. Mark your calendars, and make plans to be in Minnesota. The National Youth/Student Council of the Japanese American Citizens League will be hosting its last National Youth Conference at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, June 26-28.

The theme of this year's conference is "IMPACT! Your Community - Your Generation - Your JACL." This is your chance to network with youth from across the nation, connect with headline speakers, and attend a wide variety of workshops. Because you know the JACL knows how to party.

Speakers will include Mee Moua, the first Hmong American to be elected to public office; Amado Uno, Executive Director of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance; and Shin Inouye, Specialty Communications Director for President Obama's administration.

The registration fee is just $60 for JACL Members/$85 for Non-members. This price covers ALL meals, transportation to and from the airport, and lodging. That's a pretty darn good deal. But you have to register before the deadline on June 6. For more information, and to register, visit the JAC website here.
