top chef masters premieres tonight

Hey food fans. Bravo's Top Chef Masters premieres tonight. No up-and-coming newbie chefs this time... this season pits 24 world-renowed chefs against each other, tournament style, taking on Top Chef challenges. And the winners will take home cash prizes for their charities.

Unfortunately, my favorite reality show host, Padma Lakshmi, is nowhere to be seen. Instead, this competition is hosted by journalist/former model Kelly Choi. She's all right, I guess. I'd prefer Padma.

I'v seen parts of tonight's(?) episode, which features contestant Anita Lo, chef and owner of Annisa in New York. She's a bit of an asskicker in the kitchen -- definitely one to watch. Also watch for one pro chef's super fail in one of the challenges. Good stuff.
