Check out this short film, Ghost Soldier, written and directed by Allan Tsao, and starring his brother Perry Tsao -- the Tsao Bros. It's a 15-minute drama about the war in Iraq, produced in 2006:
From an underground Iraqi prison, an Asian-American soldier fights despair by holding on to a promise to his childhood girlfriend, digging deeper and deeper into his memories to find the courage and the strength to save his life and that of another American soldier, Misha.I caught this a few years back in the film festival circuit, and remember really admiring its cinematography and production values.
