long beach teen fatally shot after homecoming game

Last week in Long Beach, a 16-year-old girl was killed in a shooting after a high school football game. Melody Ross was attending the homecoming game at Wilson High School wearing in a 'Supergirl' Halloween costume when she was shot to death Friday night: Student at Long Beach's Wilson High fatally shot after homecoming game.

Ross died at St. Mary's Hospital at 10:30 pm, half an hour after she was shot, from a wound to the upper torso. According to investigators, she was an innocent bystander who had nothing to do with the altercation that led to the shooting. More here: Teen dies in L.B. football game shooting.

A reward of $20,000, raised by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, is being offered to anyone with information regarding the shooting: Reward For Info About Shooting Increases To $20,000.
