Opening in theaters this weekend... the godawful looking family action comedy The Spy Next Door, starring Jackie Chan, who once made good movies a long, long time ago. This movie looks like something Vin Diesel passed on, but The Rock didn't want it, so it fell to Jackie Chan. I hope he got paid well.
Also opening in wide release, director Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones. It tells the tale of Susie Salmon, a 14-year-old girl who is raped and murdered by a neighbor, then watches over her family from heaven. Nikki Soohoo is in the movie as Holly, Susie's best friend and roommate in heaven. Um, that's her in the photo above, on the right.
